Kristi Hibler-Luton, M.A., NBCT


Kristi has over 14 years of experience in public education. She has served as a science teacher, department chair, and instructional coach. Kristi is passionate about supporting teachers through curriculum, resources, and organization. She has supported new teachers in her work as a Content Seminar Leader for Texas Teaching Fellows, an instructional coach for the New Teacher Project, and a University Facilitator and Field Supervisor for the University of Texas UTeach program. She has supported in-service master teachers as the Director of National Board Certification for Teach for American in San Antonio, Texas. Kristi has written science curriculum; integrated technology, and outdoor learning into curricula; and led professional development for school districts throughout Texas.

As a National Board Certified Teacher with a Masters in Educational Leadership, Kristi continues to make curricula and resources easily accessible for educators in the state of Texas as EcoRise’s Texas Program Director. She also leads the EcoRise PBL Academy supporting teachers, campuses, and districts in implementing authentic, engaging real-world learning through the lens of sustainability.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening with her kids in her NWF Certified Backyard Habitat, camping, and hiking.
